Acai berry is famous worldwide for the many health benefits it offers. However though there is an increasing number of people taking Acai berry, there is an increasing number of Acai berry scams making its rounds.
One of the many Acai berry scams is that it does not have as many antioxidants as it proposes it has. Those opposing these claims state that though fresh Acai berry has high levels of antioxidants, the freeze dried version ranks 6th, and is behind the antioxidant levels of spices, cloves, oregano, cinnamon and grasses sorghum and sumac.
They say that this is is because a substantial amount of antioxidants gets lost during the freeze drying process. However how true this scam is is not known as Acai berry is still widely sold as a health food supplement.
Processing is said to destroy Acai berry benefits
The second of the few Acai berry scams centers on antioxidants too. Opponents of Acai berry suppelemnts state that the antioxidants found in Acai berry does not get absorbed by people. In addition to this, they say that the processing of the berry leads to the destruction of the potential benefits found in Acai berry.
However if this Acai berry scam is true, then one wonders what happened to the many benefits the supplement had provided the native people of Brazil for hundreds of years. Similarly, the supplements too will provide the same benefits that pure Acai berry provides.
Helping with extreme weight loss is another Acai berry scam. Of course, the antioxidants in Acai berry makes you feel better and more active where you burn more calories. This may lead to weight loss, along with the fiber in Acai berry acting as an appetite suppressant. However the weight loss is minimum, and nothing like the ‘extreme weight loss’ advertised in Acai berry products.
Nothing is for free
Free trials constitute another Acai berry scams. Many companies offers a free trial of an Acai berry suppelemnt that is usually weight loss related. However you usually end up paying for shipping and handling, in addition to agreeing to a monthly auto-shipment order till you cancel it.
This will only lead to unexpected shipments and charges accumulating on the credit card you had used for paying for your ‘free’ trial of Acai berry supplement. So remember that nothing is free; companies offering free products benefit in another way to make up for their free samples.
Acai berry Oprah scam
There are also many Acai berry warnings about the Acai berry Oprah scam. According to this scam, many sites claim that Oprah endorsed their Acai berry suppelemnt. However this is a scam, as Oprah has never endorsed or recommended any Acai supplement; they only have positive things to say about Acai berry supplements.
With Acai berry scams exposed, you realize that both the proponents and opponents of Acai berry are right. While researchers are still finding out more about super foods, you have to realize that Acai berry products will not help you much if you eat junk food and don’t exercise.
